Glenville State College is a small college located in the mountains of Central West Virginia. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Wild, Wonderful West Virginia as well as a caring rural community, our students have access to an abundance of unique outdoor and cultural opportunities.
Conveniently located just 15 miles off Interstate 79, the town of Glenville can easily be accessed by car from any direction, and we are an easy distance from both Charleston Yeager Airport as well as Pittsburgh International Airport for those who prefer to fly. With cultural hubs such as Charleston, Morgantown, and Pittsburgh all within a couple hours, GSC offers the perfect combination of rural community life with access to urban experiences.
Originally founded in 1872 to serve the higher educational needs of Central West Virginia, Glenville State College has gained widespread recognition for excellence in teaching and strong academic integrity. Although initially focused on educating teachers. GSC has greatly expanded our academic offerings throughout the years and developed a strong reputation as a four year college with a diverse range of programs and degrees. Furthermore, we have continued to provide vital educational services in our local area while expanding our student population to include students from numerous states and foreign countries. |

Students who have previously attended college must have an official transcript sent to the Admission's Office from each college previously attended.
Students that have completed over 27 hours need to send their college transcript. Students that have completed under 27 hours need to send their college and high school transcripts.
