CAMPUS SUMMARY
Established in 1970, Walters State Community College is a comprehensive community college that serves around 5,900 credit students and over 4,000 students enrolled in job-training courses. In addition to its Morristown campus, the college offers classes at its Sevier County Campus and centers for higher education in Greeneville and New Tazewell as well as various off-campus facilities. Walters State is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and all academic programs eligible for accreditation are accredited.

Walters State has much more to offer than just a chance to earn a degree. More than 25 student organizations give students a chance to enjoy their time at the college while contributing to the community. Cultural activities such as theatre, music and art exhibits are also held regularly at the college. Walters State students also have a whole array of sports available. National Junior College Athletic Association teams include men's basketball, women's basketball, golf, baseball and women's softball.

An education at Walters State is also extremely affordable, with tuition significantly less than the first two years at four-year colleges and universities. Walters State also offers a comprehensive program of financial aid through grants, scholarships, part-time employment and loans.
