CAMPUS SUMMARY
Ohio Valley University is a Christian University located between Parkersburg and Vienna, West Virginia. OVU transforms lives in a Christ-centered academic community that integrates higher learning, biblical faith, and service to God and humanity. Challenging academic majors are offered in a variety of associate and baccalaureate degree programs that are designed for traditional learners. Non-traditional learners are also served through the Institute for Adult Learning and its emphasis on degree completion, practical nursing, and continuing education. Every student is challenged to think critically, improve communication skills, and broaden his or her knowledge base. Those goals are driven by small class sizes and one-on-one relationships with faculty, staff, and other students.

OVU is not just a campus; it is a unique culture. Warm, friendly faces and a down-to-earth atmosphere are the basic ingredients of College life, which also features various activities and services that are designed to encourage the development of self-confidence, a positive self-image, and spiritual awareness. Whether a student is engaged in intercollegiate athletics or studying in Europe, Ohio Valley University seeks to develop the whole person. Other unique activities and services include daily chapel, theater productions, singing ensembles, intramurals, mission efforts, internships, professional counseling, and career placement/counseling.
